Charles VII was hiding out here in 1427 during the 100 years war when 15 yo. Joan de Arc came to see his support to run the British out of their country. He gave her his support and she went on to become a Saint as a result of her ensuing adventures. We later visited Rouen where the British burned her as a witch!
