Great effect, I really like this. I see good lansdcapes out of the train all the time and think they won't photograph well. I'll give it a go now - thanks for the inspiration!
Katherine - a lot of the noise on this one came from a Levels adjustment - I tried one of the Auto options and liked the effect, including the inky blue trees, but it caused a big colour adjustment overall, which usually always adds noise, especially to a grainy picture.

Just wondering if you added this noise, or if it came out like this.
