Festival Cavalcade 2003

The Edinburgh Festivals start with the Cavalcade, bringing together performers from the Military Tattoo, and from the various shows that will be taking place across Edinburgh over the next few weeks.

Thanks Chris & Norman, and glad you're enjoying the photos. I just love Edinburgh at this time of year! It was indeed a good spot - I was standing in the middle of the road, but behind barriers, because the procession was coming up the road and then turning left. (Still in the process of putting up the Cavalcade photos ... at 'P8031222-e.jpg', when you commented, I was about halfway ... hope the gallery doesn't end up too big!)

you have captured the colour and the mixture of the carnival very well
looks like you had a good vantage point. Like Chris said, keep sending
some more photo-reports of the Festival.

Looks like a lot of fun! I can't make it to the Fringe Festival this year, but some friends of mine will be there! I hope you're able to get lots of pictures of the events over the next few weeks! These are great! I'm jealous--I want to live in Edinburgh!
