The maple sap is running and another "sugar season" is underway across the Western Reserve.
This traditional "sugar house" where the sap is boiled down to syrup is a part of the
Swine Creek Reservation of the Geauga County Park system. Weekend programs involve visitor
participation in helping gather the sap from tapped trees through the surrounding sugarbush
and learning more about this and earlier historic methods of syrup production.
