Kirtland Temple - Kirtland, Ohio
(A two-frame IR pano)
------------------------------------------------------

From 1830 to 1837 Kirtland was the center of the Mormon movement. There was a Mormon
settlement/commune here and in 1836 they finished building this church, the original
"Mormon Temple." A year later the Mormons left Ohio under adverse circumstances, but
this temple remains as a National Historic Site. Private photos of its interior are
not permitted, but if you are curious, some "official" ones are posted under "images" at:
http://www.kirtlandtemple.org/
I used the dormered roofline of this building as an entry in our Uzi "Fives" Gallery.

Thanks, all. Bruce, when I'm out with Uzi I'm just another "sightseer," but my intent isn't to promote tourism. My selections are the scenes and activities around here that seem interesting and photoworthy, and the commentary is "window dressing" that I hope enhances their viewing. I enjoy sharing them as much as taking them!

Eerie, But nice. Vic, your descriptions along with your photos are a great source of info for visitors to your great state. Keep up the good work!

Outstanding. One of my very favorites of all your pictures.
