This canyon wren tried one of the oldest tricks in the (bird) book.
He spotted my long lens as I was doing some surfing photos, and landed about 10 feet away, looking photogenic,
and knowing that I couldn't possibly focus that close. I executed my discrete "wrist-twist-B300-off" move,
and before he knew what happened, he heard the click of the shutter and flitted off...too late.
I'm sure he'll be working on his techniques and won't make the same mistake again.
