A Goof

This was a goof because one light didn't fire. I like to post things like this as a reminder to myself of why things can and do go wrong.

I love how you are sharing this stuff with us Bruce. What a great way for me to learn.
On your first photo posted, I think Val Sharp gave an awesome overview of it. I do like the darker background with your features.

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself! Oops! Oh, you meant the PICTURE was a goof - I see! Anyway, I think it's great lighting.

Actually, I agree with Dean, and liked the very dramatic look, and as a result, made a fundamental change in my thinking about lighting.

It's possibly a better photograph thanks to only one going off... the shadowing makes it much more visually interesting. (Well, despite that it's a shot of you, B! hehe)
