Blue Bird at the window

When an opportunity arises, a girl automatically grabs her camera. I was on my way out the door when I saw this wild birdie deciding that he'd maybe like to visit.

Great shot. I glad that you're able to get such shots and show them to us. The only near colorful bird around here is the shrub jay.

Incredible! These are such beautiful birds. They are all over Wilmington, except in
the middle of town, which is where I live...so I don't see them often. But just drive
a few blocks and blue bird boxes are everywhere.

Truthfully, I was making my bird identification based on what I've seen in Disney movies like Sleeping Beauty.

However, a little research brought me to this National Park Service sitehttp://www.nps.gov/miss/features/birding/brdwatch/gallery/blbird.html which seems to confirm, this bird actually is a Blue Bird.

Only, we don't live in a wooded area, and there were two of them.
