My tribute to Richard Avedon, longtime fashion photographer for Vogue and the New Yorker.
He died on October 1. Although I don't consider myself in his class, I admired his photography
for a long time and on occasion have tried to emulate his style. Presumably this shot will
qualify for the time capsule. I'm fairly confident that these subjects will not be around in 100
years, but perhaps some contribution the two have made will be remembered.
