Gliding down sunset lane at the Torrey Pines Glider Port. I'm dedicating this
image to the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia. They died while doing
something they like... gliding through space.

Due to a hazy atmosphere, the noise level is rather high. Without the glider in
the image, I would have chosen image #8 on my sunsets gallery for my POTW.
The sun has set for the crew of the Shuttle Columbia, but their legacy shines
through the clouds.

Post processing using Paint Shop Pro 7:
50% reduction in size, 5% fade correction,
Normal saturation enhancement, Frame added

I really like the softness of this and the ghostiness of the framing- it gives a feel to flying. Nicely ties in with your tribute as well.

Ben, You really caught some beautiful cloud formations and the colors are so soft and subtle. Now I'm off to check out your Sunset pictures!

Ben, A very nice tribute. I loved your sunsets gallery also. You could make a nice Sunsets calendar.
