January 8th
On this day in 1935 Elvis Presley was born.
There must be lights burning brighter somewhere.
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue.
If I can dream of a better land,
where all my brothers walk hand in hand.
Tell me why, oh why,
oh why can't my dream come true?
Oh why?
There must be peace and understanding sometime.
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
all the doubt and fear.
If I can dream of a warmer sun,
where hope keeps shining on everyone.
Tell me why, oh why,
oh why won't that sun appear?
We're lost in a cloud
with too much rain.
We're trapped in a world
that's troubled with pain.
But as long as a man
has the strength to dream
he can redeem his soul
and fly...
Deep in my heart there's a trembling question.
Still I am sure, that the answer's
gonna come somehow.
Out there in the dark,
there's a beckoning candle, yeah.
And while I can think, while I can talk.
While I can stand, while I can walk.
While I can dream.
Please let my dream come true...
Right now.

Peabody Ducks
Had some relatives in town
and got a chance to see the
World Famous Peabody Ducks.

A huge crowd begins to gather:
I should mention that the ducks walk the red carpet to and from the
fountain every single day. This was their evening trip back up to
their castle.
August 11th
This is a re-post of a shot I took over two years ago.
A while back I posted this shot on a music related forum
and it sparked up a lot of conversation between myself and
another music addict. In following months, I became great friends
with this guy that lived in California and we would share our audio
addiction with each other through email.
Today, I found out that my buddy passed away on August 6th.
This photo will always remind me of him because he brought it up
in conversation so many times.

Friends
This one was pure luck. I was at a butterfly exhibit
in Chattanooga's Tennessee Aquarium and a lady
saw me with the camera and told me to get a pic of
the butterfly on her kid's hand. I noticed the
stripes matched, so I went around and got the shot from the front.

Bad Elbow
When I asked this fella if he had been in my bird feeder,
he claimed it could not have been him because he has
a bad elbow....
I guess the search for the culprit continues...
September 16th
For some reason I thought this was cute. I have no idea why.

Allie and sam
I never thought Sammy would get along with a new pup,
but Allie knows how to win affection...
Great looks and a wonderful personality go a long way.

Bright Eyes
Panama City Beach Zoo
I got this shot just in time. Right after I pushed the button,
one of its parents were up against the fence with its behind in the air...
I almost got sprayed, but since she missed me by about a foot,
it was worth it. :-)
