The refuge rescues neglected or unwanted animals. Most of these animals are bred into captivity. Some of them have deformities from people that breed sibling animals for profit. When the animals have outlasted their ability to produce or cannot be sold, they are disgarded.

I would guess very few of these animals could survive in the wild. The refuge does it's best to provide them with a more natural enclosure. The have huge fenced areas with long grass, trees, and huge barrels for them to relax in the water. They are building more of the enclosures everyday and they have 400+ acres for expansion.
