Thanks for the hint, Matt! I did try it real quick, but it made the shot
look too grainy. I may have been able to fix it up, but I did not have much time to post, so I had to live with the results.

This is a great shot. Why dont you try hitting it with some unsharp mask? It will sharpen the lines and make the dog more pronounced!
