A few of the troops from one of our weekly barbeque events.
The chicken, from the mess hall was pathetic, and for me inedible, but the purpose was some fellowship.
The smell of the smoke was a reminder of home, and covered the pervasive aroma of fermenting Nuoc Mam,
a fish sauce made by the Vietnamese in near by Bien Hoa City which literally saturated the atmosphere.
The smell of producing Nuoc Mam was pungent and in any other environment, I am sure it would be considered air pollution. - 1970
