There´s a family of woodpeckers frequently visiting Heles birdfeeder.
This is one of the females, I´ll say the older one.
Maybe 1 meter from the kitchen window.
Two summers ago this couple was nesting somewhere nearby.
And 2 of the youngsters and the parents are still in the neighbourhood.
They like to search for insects in the murky rowantree in the background and are visiting the birdfeeder all winter. Suet and peanuts are their favourite food.
