Strikingly beautiful image, Ulla. As Ann said, this is what we call a Mourning Cloak, but I like the name Camberwell Beauty too, as that reminds me of my home country, Britain! V

We call this butterfly a Mourning Cloak. One of my favorites that is usually the earliest butterfly to return in spring. Gorgeous capture!
