This is all that remains of the Celtic Cross at Cashel after it
was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell and his forces in late
1600s. Crowell is famous for massacres, ruthless sieges,
and confiscation of land. Few ecclesial sites remain
untouched by his destruction.
