This was our longest hiking day. 12 miles. After our delightful breakfast, which included porridge with whiskey cream for many of us, we started off around 10:15 and didn't stop walking until around 4:00. We walked a stretch of the Kerry way from Kenmare to Killarney, through a section of Killarney National Park. There was much water, and several people spent much of the hike with wet feet. The walk was wonderful, and was long enough that if you walked fast enough or slow enough, you were alone with your thoughts. We spent the evening in Kenmare.
