Kootenay National Park

Kootenay National Park is a place rich in variety, from glacier-clad peaks along the Continental Divide to the dry grassy slopes of the Columbia Valley where cactus grows. Established in 1920. The Banff-Windermere Highway or the Kootenay Parkway snakes through 96 lovely kilometres of Kootenay National Park. This is easily one of the most scenic drives in the Canadian Rockies, second only to the Icefields Parkway.
