Calgary Zoo

Attempting to slow the water motion and create a pleasing silky water abstract. Any suggestions are appreciated. Shot in RAW indoors with polarizer and ND filter. An afterthought is maybe F8 would be better ???

Gary the timing is great, maybe a little curves in PS to add a little more contrast. Overall very nice shot.

Well, the water on the right (looking on the photo) side has a little silkyness. Perhaps, if there is more enough light coming from the right side that would bounce on the edge corner side of the water then silkyness will be more visible. That's only my piece of idea. I wonder which time of the day you took this shot.

But I'd say I like this photo.. it's fantastic! :o) voted!

i think you chose the right settings; your exposure is spot on....as evident by the smooth silky water without any hot spots.
if you have chosen to shoot at f8 - either your exposure would be too dark or shutter speed would have increased and caused a blown water spots. :)

I like It , for a silky ( er ) effect try f 12 or greater. Use a Tripod or a Monpod ....I have expermented with the Hotel Fountains and get great results with an Exposure time of about 10-15 seconds as long as no one walks by. thats in the late afternoon or very early morning ...

Nice Shot!
Chosen shutter speed for this shot has worked well, but you could try speeds from 1/2 - 8 seconds for the desired effect, depends on the waterfall.
