The Tejano Monument is a new work (2012) on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas. It honors the importance of Tejanos in the formation of the Texas Republic to the development into statehood, ranging in years from the 1500s to present.
The State Capitol stands on over 200 acres. When you visit the Capitol, take your time, stroll around, and enjoy the history that each of the monuments offers. It is a nice way to spend a weekend evening (or morning in this case).
