Cruciform shaped church, built on the site of an earlier church; the chancel and parts of the transepts and windows are 15th century. After the wreck in 1859 of the Royal Charter, St. Gallgo became the mortuary for those who perished, some of whom are buried in the St. Gallgo churchyard.
