A life bird for me in 2015: Black-throated Sparrow! A desert bird not usually seen in Orange County. It was discovered by birders at the southern mesa of Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach, CA (Harriet Wieder Park). Over several days, it fed near a flock of White-crowned Sparrows. They were all spooky due to presence of an adult Cooper's Hawk.
