OK so it's not really, but today I went shopping.
Actually I went yesterday too, but couldn't persuade
anyone to sell me anything... I needed a laptop to
replace the one that went (literally) with the job.
Searched the 'net' but many out of stock, or 10 days to build,
so after consulting prices and number 1 son set forth with Denise
in tow to control my spending urges (my previous laptop was
a rather sexy Sony machine).
PC World were closed for stock taking, opening at 12, then
1, then 2, then 3... they opened after 4! Got a free cup of tea in B&Q
while waiting (I know how to treat a lady!)
Curry's... selected nice model, 2 in-stock... but not
in the warehouse.. and so on.
Took number 1 son at lunch today, and we went to PC World,
but they're pretty well out of stock waiting new ones.
Ended up at Staples (honest). Very helpful and friendly,
and we dropped on this hp laptop, eventually buying the
display model for half the price I'd been prepared to
give someone for a much 'shinier' new machine :), at £480.
SO what to PAD, well the answer was easy. So welcome to
my new laptop (called Puddlejumper in case you wondered).
The PADs a crop of a macro of yesterdays false sunset!
Enjoy :)
Cool blue lights.....
