- 18th Jan 2005 - Forth Dawn

A very icy morning.... view from the front door

and the drive in to work...

But I can't compete with all you 'real snow' people, so nipped down
to the end of the jetty at work just as the sun was coming up, the PAD shot done :)
What you can't see are the blue fingers! Checking it out for the arrival back of HMS Illustrious in a few days....

On the way to the lodgings from work took couple more Bridge shots (see Bridges gallery)

Must find some colour tomorrow....

Nikon Coolpix 8800
1/147s f/5.6 at 8.9mm iso50 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

This is a wonderful shot that makes me feel as thought I am standing right there. I like how the sun highlights the movement of the water that morning. I also like that the colors of the dawn don't seem to be manipulated, just very natural. Thanks for sharing the sunrise with us!

Lovely set of images Ian, you were lucky seeing the sun - no sign of it here!

Great 'crack of dawn' shot Ian. Beautiful light in the sky, well captured.

Beautiful. Cold crisp days are the best for good shots!

I've seen the Forth bridge many times but it still takes my breath away - lovely shot!

Wow, you got some great shots today Ian! (even if the top one does make me feel a bit seasick). The bridge is beauuutiful.
