The International Freedom Festival is a joint Independence Day celebration on the Detroit river, for the citizens of Detroit Michigan, USA, and Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I had watched the fireworks on television for the past few years, and wanted to go and see them in person, so with Harry and a couple of his friends, we set off to watch from the Windsor side, which meant we had the beautiful night-time backdrop of downtown Detroit.
