I was mad with myself when I saw this photo. I had switched my lens to manual focus for the fireworks and THOUGHT I had switched back to auto, but I had flipped the Image Stabilization back on instead, which I had switched off because the camera was on a tripod, so this lovely photo of the two of them is unfortunately not as sharp as it might have been....
