It is the incongruity of the discoloration that makes this image express time. Your close vantage point works very well. I remember shooting another sculpture in this same courtyard of the Ruebens House. It is athttp://www.pbase.com/image/45582476 I built mine around the geometry of its setting and converted it to black and white to make it timeless.
