I understand that it is a weapon that is missing, but this photo of a statue takes me deeper into the culture because the hands, without the weapon, remind me of Tai Chi, which is evocative of peaceful meditation and movement to me. Yet your image reminds me that Tai Chi probably has its roots in training for the military. So, for me, your image bridges war and peace.
