MARCH 2009: Andres, Ronald, Maria Fernanda and I spent five hours in "La Caverna Los Menonitas." Two guides from La Caverna La Gabinarraca accompanied us along with the new owner Don Carlos. The reason we spent five hours in the cave was because half the time we were mapping out an undocumented lead. Andres was an excellent instructor teaching Ronald, Maria Fernanda and myself how to use the instruments. As we were warned, the rocks were very sharp. My hands were sliced up a bit and so I've had to put multiple bandaids on my hands to be able to treat patients. Next time I will use gloves!! My new "rodilleras" came in very handy for the crawl sections. We all has a beautiful experience and are anxious to commence a large project of mapping/exploring other caves in the Venado region.
