Cave Exploration - Ceiba Cave

JUNE 2009 - Anthros Costa Rica Grotto organized a trip to explore Ceiba Cave in Corredores just outside of Ciudad Neily in southern Costa Rica. Exploring Ceiba Cave required skills in vertical techniques. Over the course of a day we managed to complete the exploration and mapping of this cave. The following day some of us made it little ways into the Rectangular Cave, one of the longest subterranean river caves of Costa Rica. Caverna Rectangulo was previously explored by the National Speological Society in 1989-90.
