introspection

view map

i had some business to take care of in cleveland heights this afternoon and on the way home i couldn't help myself from stopping at the lakeview cemetery. i didn't plan on stopping here but it is hard for me to pass thosse gate without passing thru this historic cemetery.
today was a perfect time to visit because of the place being so desolate. the sound of the blowing snow through the tombstones was audible as were visual images that i've not seen before here.

this shot was of i hoping to catch the emotion that i felt coming from the couple at the top of the monument and still capture the mood of the surrounding space which explains why i shot at this wide angle.

This is one of the most beautiful photos I've seen! What a mood. I'm very impressed. You most definitely captured the desolateness of the cemetary, in a very beautiful way.
