Glen played on the WMMS coffee break concert back in the eighties, Kirk Yano was the engineer and I believe he recorded it. It was one of the most powerful performances ever. If Kirk is still alive, someone should talk to him about releasing it. I didn't know he objected to having his picture taken, he never minded people taping his live shows.

I saw him July 24,2008 for the first time at hoople's and there were tears flowing out of my eyes. I was amazed at what I saw and heard and so were others in the crowd. It was like some movie scene, unbelieveable!

I remember seeing Glen waaaaaay back when in the late 60's when he was the lead guitarist for the original James Gang. They used to play at a place in North Ridgeville Ohio, called "Hullabaloo". It later changed it's name to "Cyrus Erie". I was there the first night Jimmy Fox demanded that the band get paid $200 for the night, or they weren't going to play! The crowd was already there, awaiting the first number and would probably have rioted had the owner not agreed........he did, and they went on as scheduled. Glen used to climb up on the shoulders of Bill Jerack, the rythm player while they were both playing............man what a show! Glens hair used to be down to his waist in those days. He was the best around then, can't imagine he's declined much since!

Great photos! When I saw him, he wouldn't allow any photos. Words alone cannot describe what he looks like these days.

whoa how did you manage to get these? I have been told by other photogs that glenn objects very strongly to pictures being taken. i bought a print off jay brown that was the only one he had because he said right after he took it glenn became very upset. i think these photos of yours, and the one by jay, are the only latterday photos of glenn i have ever seen. i'm glad you were able to get them.
