Lower King Street, Charleston. This is the (so far) quiet part of King Street. Just south of the Omni Hotel complex, the pace is slower, the tourist crowds are less dense. The Kings Court Inn is one of my favorite hide-away spots to stay in Charleston. Two doors above the Inn is The Baker's Cafe, perhaps the best breakfast/brunch cafe in the city. Champagne for breakfast? Why not? This is Charleston afterall!
