There was no name tag on the flower bed where this rose was growing. Mom and I were both impressed with it. Most of the other plants in the area were drooping from the heat, as were most of the few people present that day. It didn't seem to faze this rose, though. It was blooming like crazy. We went back again in late November on a rather chilly day - same thing. The rose was going great guns and didn't seem to even notice the weather.
The color and old-fashioned shape of the flowers suggest to me that this is probably a David Austin "English Rose". The official website lists at least a dozen yellow varieties with similar shape, but since 'Graham Thomas' seems to be one of their best known and most popular, I'll take a wild guess that this might be 'Graham Thomas'.
