American Anole

Georgetown, Texas

I noticed this little guy while visiting my parents for Mothers' Day. Apparently the green anoles that live in Mom's ivy patch like to climb up and rest on this metal yard ornament. They don't get much sun there, but I imagine it gives them a good view of the area.

This little fellow seems to have lost part of his tail in some narrow escape or other.
