Yesterday was a most difficult day for our family.
We had to make the hard decision to let Violet go and join her brother, Mr. Lucy and my father on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Many of you know that it has been a long 18 month struggle trying to keep Violet going.
It all began with orthopedic issues resulting in eventual lameness and her not being able to sit, stand, hop or move around at all.
On Friday night, Violet suffered some sort of neurological event during the middle of the night and was rushed to the ER at Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington, DE Saturday morning.
Thankfully her regular vet, Dr. Wilkerson, was working and was able advise us as to what the right decision was, and to be with all of us at the end.

Goodbye my sweet girl.
We love you and look forward to reuniting with you on the other side.
Until then, please take good care of your little brother, Mr. Lucy, and your grandpa.
