The 3rd. Company of the S.S. regiment , a part of the Second Panzer Division, was responsible for the massacre in Oradour.
It is assumed that General Lammerding gave the orders to massacre the citizens of Oradour.
Major Dickmann, a cruel and blood thirsty man, was the commander of the mission.
His second-in-command was Captain Kahn.
Second Lieutenant, Barth, was also under orders.
Other men involved in this atrocity were from Alsace. They said that they were forced to participate by the SS units.
These murderers were forced to answer before justice for their crimes.
Two trials were held: one in Bordeaux in 1953; and the other in Berlin in 1983...
