A shamanistic ovoo cairn overlooking Kharkhorin and the Orkhon Valley

These cairns pre-date the spread of the Buddhist religion and are still found all across Mongolia. Travellers over the centuries have added stones, prayer flags, animal skulls and other votive offerings.
