Chicago & North Western Depot, Footville, Wisconsin.jpg

Footville, Wisconsin

I looked for this depot 6 months earlier and could not find it. After doing more Research I found that it had been moved behind a gas station and was being used for storage. The Depot looks to be in stable condition, the Agents bay window has been removed and a sliding door has been added. The building has retained some of it's decorative brackets but it could really use a nice coat of paint, But lets just be happy that it has survived this long.

My dad, Oscar E. Bergholz, was last depot agent
in the Footville CN&W depot. He was there until
1957 when the CN&W one-man railroad stations
were closed. He work at the CN&W depot in Beloit
until he retired in 1964.
