This model represents the first mass-produced double-stack car pioneered by the Southern Pacific and ACF back in 1981. The original single-well car (SP 513300) has been preserved at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA.

Amongst all the fine-scale appearance, this model even features working container flippers, masterfully built by Clyde King.
