If there was one thing that struck me about Glastonbury this year more than anything else it was the marked improvement in the attitudes of a majority of the punters. From the moment I joined the queue waiting for the gates to open on the Wednesday morning it was obvious that pretty much everybody was there to have the party of their lives and to prove to those who believe that Glastonbury is past its sell by date how very wrong they are!
Many of the people in this gallery are friends and many more are just random individuals whose paths I crossed. Fancy dress was in abundance more than ever before and it’s wonderful how the lines between paying punters, staff and performers seem to have blurred once again. But the one thing that was even more important after last year was the smiles which had reappeared on everybody’s faces. Who gives a damn about headliners?! – We had FUN!
