Finally -- the shy, elusive Blue Heron, one of several who hang around this area. Each time I had approached this bird, it had flown off, but finally I saw it in the recesses of the woods across from Upper Critter Lake. Sadly, I didn't have my DSLR and telephoto lens with me, so this is the best I could get with my trusty SD630.
