It was sunny and there were birds around, so I set up my tripod with the Canon 1D MkIII with the 100-400mm lens and a 1.4x teleconverter out on my deck. But none came close or stayed still! The only one that I had a chance with was crow across a parking lot on a roof, so I thought dang! But I did snap a few from the distance and cropped them very closely. It was in the sun, which helped, but still a black crow can be a challenge.

Later a little bird showed up, a sparrow, and parked closer to me from where the crow was, but as small as these birds are the pics aren't really any better!
