Abstractions

Periodically, I try to take a picture which, from conception, is meant to make you stop and say "What the heck is that?". Without doctoring the picture, I like to either from a macro point of view or from variations in focus and depth of field try to challenge the perceptions.

My daughter, who has a love of "impressionistic" photography, does a lot of processing to get the effect she wants and comes up with some great artistic work. My grandson does a lot of that as well. As time goes on, I want to include some of their work in my gallery, but right now, I tend toward minimal processing and let the image speak/confuse as it will.
