These are photos from my Yosemite expedition with Dave Wyman in October, 2004. I have been photographing as an active hobbyist for many years, but never have I had a more rewarding experience with my camera than I did on this weekend. I highly recommend Dave's Photographic Journeys In addition to Dave, I was quite inspired by pbase members John and Vanita Boyd , Phil Douglis and Tim May who were very supportive of my amateur work and were all very willing and patient coaches to me. The trip was a Fathers Day gift from my wonderful children. Many of the photos in this gallery were the original vision of Dave, John, Phil and Tim, I simply looked over their shoulder and learned from their vision.

Nice photos. Congrats on those. Seems we were there a few days ahead of you. Glorious wasn't it? And amazing to now read about those climbers on El Capitan that perished. I took numerous shots of the climbers when we were there, using a telephoto. Take a look at my shots. Waterhead.
