This particular area contained a heavy concentration of restaurants. Most had displays such as this outside to show how fresh their shellfish are and to entice the viewer. To complement these, there was also typically a maitre'd outside of each restaurant willing to negotiate deals, which typically surround free wine with dinner and free goodies. A very impressive show, overall.
