You can see how extreme the Bay of Fundy tides really are, when the tide is out.
To provide some scale, look at the tip of the point and at the one-O'Clock position
and then look down just a bit. Near the edge of the water you will see a little
black smudge. That is a family of 4 (2 adults 2 children) walking out to the low tide mark.
