It was the second time that we enjoyed a concert with Paul McCartney and his excellent band in the
Lanxess Arena in Cologne with 15000 other fans. He came and took the audience with him. Even though the
ground floor was chaired, the audience was standing and dancing the entire (2 hours and 50 minutes) of his performance.
There were no breaks or long speeches, he just played and sang (35 songs). He started with “Hello Goodbye” and went on and on.
People of all ages joined together to sing along with songs like ‘Hey Jude, All You Need Is Love, Get Back’. The crowd went mad for the rock
of ‘Helter Skelter and Live and Let Die’ and they were held captive during the moving rendition of ‘Yesterday and Something’.
A night that we will never forget. Hats off to this talented living legend.
