Brimstone with open Wings

Our Backyard

a rare capture. Brimstone butterflies hardly ever settle with their wings open. They will close there wings and this enables them to be very hard to find within tree foliage.
The adults can orientate there body towards the sun in order to heat up their body temperature before flying
